Experience Report of the BirdGard Super Pro PA4 for Crow Control in a Football Stadium Location: Bad Kreuznach Objective: Crow control Species causing damage: Large number of crows Area to protect: approx. 30,000 m² (3 hectares) In the stadium area, two different types of crows have been observed in recent years.Type 1 crows: These crows stay at the site year-round.Type 2 crows: Flocks of several thousand birds that settle from autumn to winter. In the first weeks after the BirdGard Super Pro PA4 was put into operation, the entire stadium and the surrounding trees were completely free of crows! After a longer period (2 months), the type 1 crows returned near the stadium. The majority of the crows, which were type 2, completely disappeared from the entire area!"As a result of using the BirdGard Super Pro PA4 in the stadium facility, it can be said that the use of the device was worthwhile and the outcome is very satisfactory."

At night the birds stay on the facilities and leave behind heavy contamination. After the device was put into operation, the birds completely withdrew from the site. Late in summer, bird protection is a priority for Steve Plowman, who leads the four-person vineyard team. Steve says: "Our plots are on varied terrain – by the river, on slopes, on cliffs, and on flatter areas – and there are many trees that not only enhance the aesthetics of the estate and provide habitats for beneficial insects, but of course also serve as homes for many birds." "We cover all vines with bird nets, but as anyone in viticulture knows, it is extremely difficult to prevent especially the waxeyes from entering the nets. Even the smallest hole lets them in. Here we have large flocks of starlings, and also blackbirds and thrushes are abundant." "We found the gas cannons particularly good; they produce a strong, loud bang, and as with all gas devices, they need to be moved regularly. Weinstraße, the BirdGard Super Pro PA4 was used to deter a large crow population. The acoustic system emits specially tuned calls that effectively drive the birds away. Shortly after installation, a clear effect was observed: the crows increasingly avoided the covered areas, and damage was greatly reduced. Operation was simple, and varying sound sequences helped prevent habituation.
